# Homefellow > Homefellow is a free, open-source private helper for family life. A household server runs on a computer at home with local AI models; apps for iPhone, Android and the desktop reach it. Homefellow is being built: these pages describe how it will work. Releases are not published yet. - Every setup step is a `homefellow` command that prints JSON with `--json`. The same step is an admin API call under `/api/admin/*`. - Start with "The setup guide for agents" (`/agents/setup-guide/`). It says what to ask the person before each step that touches their network or their AI models. - Every page is also available as Markdown: add `.md` to its address, for example `/reference/cli.md`. ## Documentation Sets - [Abridged documentation](https://docs.homefellow.org/llms-small.txt): a compact version of the documentation for Homefellow, with non-essential content removed - [Complete documentation](https://docs.homefellow.org/llms-full.txt): the full documentation for Homefellow ## Notes - The complete documentation includes all content from the official documentation - The content is automatically generated from the same source as the official documentation
